You’re probably wondering why Brunch + Pasta is the title of this post! Well, my boyfriend Eric loves Italian food, when we set out for the morning the intention was brunch. Well… by the time we walked past the kitchen he wanted pasta!
The day was beautiful, we sat on the outside patio. We started with a glass of Rose’ and PANE CALDO CON NUTELLA ($9). I opted for the FRITATA DELLA MATTINA ($15) and Eric was all in for the FETTUCCINE ALLA BOLOGNESE ($21.99).
PANE CALDO CON NUTELLA ($9) The most popular breakfast in Italy – fresh bread prepared in a wood burning oven served warm with chocolate- hazelnut Nutella and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
We were split between the Pane Caldo Con Nutella and the French toast. We had a great waiter who gave us excellent menu recommendations. The Pane Caldo Con Nutella arrived warm right from the oven. You don’t have to be an extreme Nutella lover to enjoy this. It’s delicious!
If you frittatas you’re going to love UGO’s frittatas!
FRITATA DELLA MATTINA ($15)
Italian sausage, yellow, green, red peppers, onions, roma tomatoes. UGO’s fritatas are made with organic cage free eggs, and served with roasted potatoes, fresh fruit, and bread.
The Italian sausages were seasoned perfectly and the eggs were fresh. I was torn between the DELLA MATTINA and the QUATTRO FORMAGGI I love cheese and the QUATTRO FORMAGGI would’ve been the obvious choice but I wanted to try something new. I loved it! Here are the other frittata options.
FRITATA QUATTRO FORMAGGI ($15)
Bacon, parmesan cheese, fontina cheese, mozzarella cheese and gorgonzola cheese and roma tomatoes roma tomatoes, fresh basil and fresh mozzarella.
FRITATA SPINACH & GOAT CHEESE ($15)
Baby spinach, tomatoes and goat cheese
PASTA! FETTUCCINE ALLA BOLOGNESE ($21.99)
Ugo bolognese sauce (veal, beef, pork), with homemade fettuccine.
The food was fresh and very tasty. The veal, beef and pork was blended together perfectly.. I’d recommend this meal to anyone who loves spaghetti because this dish has a similar taste.. Eric Marshall
Yes! More parmesan please!
Of course we had gelato!!! So many options!! Eric selected cheesecake and I went with the pistachio. Here’s a peek into the gelato bar!
