Oh, hey. I’m Ayanna, a forty-something lover of shoes, unusually 6 inch heels and embellishments of sorts. And food. And romantic kimonos. And hanging out with friends. And hat and jewelry collections. Okay, okay, you get the point. As it turns out, I also like creating things, which is half the reason I began Life and Style After 40.
I have a 20 year son but at the time he had just graduated from high school, I was an empty nestor all of a sudden and I desperately needed a creative outlet. I have a MBA and have spent my proffessional career in entertainment, marketing, business & legal affairs and digital. So, I began teaching as an adjunct Professor at a local college, but wanted something more. And then, decided to take a digital editing class in adobe premiere and advid, the craziest thing happened; I began shooting and editing content as well as collaborating with other content producers, next thing you know I was building a website and blogging about my life.
My days have transformed into an exciting opportunity to share the places I love to shop, eat, and travel. Sure, my ‘professional’ job description includes a combination of social media director, digital consultant and entrepreneur, but truth be told, I’ll always be someone who enjoys food, time with friends….
